Showroom Manager
Role and Responsibilities
The Showroom Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Kircher Design Studio in Miamisburg while helping clients select materials and finishes for their remodeling projects. This role combines customer service, organization, and design support to create a welcoming, professional experience for every visitor.
Responsibilities include:
Guide clients through selections of cabinetry finishes, countertops, tile, hardware, plumbing fixtures, and other materials
Assemble material boards and sample combinations for client projects
Support the design team by gathering product samples and preparing selections for client meetings
Document client selections and maintain project information in Buildertrend
Welcome studio visitors, answer general questions, and connect prospective clients with the appropriate team member
Answer incoming calls and manage showroom inquiries
Maintain an organized, welcoming studio with current product displays and samples
Monitor and order product samples, brochures, office supplies, and everyday studio necessities
Coordinate cleaning, trash removal, snow removal, utilities, and other facility-related services
Serve as the primary contact for routine studio maintenance and vendor scheduling
Meet with manufacturer and distributor representatives to stay current on products, pricing, and availability
Remove discontinued samples and coordinate replacements with vendors
Help ensure the studio is prepared for client meetings, appointments, and daily operations
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Two or more years of experience in showroom operations, interior design support, kitchen and bath, retail sales, or a related customer service role is preferred. Familiarity with cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, and related building products is a plus.
Preferred Skills
The ideal candidate has a good eye for coordinating colors, materials, and finishes along with strong organizational and communication skills. Applicants should be comfortable working with clients and vendors, managing multiple responsibilities, using computers, and learning project management software such as Buildertrend. A positive, team-oriented approach and attention to detail are important for success in this role.
Sales & Design
Role and Responsibilities
The Sales & Design Consultant works with homeowners to develop remodeling projects that meet their needs, style, and budget. This role combines relationship building, sales, and residential design, guiding clients through the early stages of their project and developing a clear scope of work that can move into contract and production.
Responsibilities include:
Meet with prospective clients to discuss their remodeling goals, priorities, budget, and project needs
Conduct in-home consultations throughout the Dayton and Cincinnati areas
Evaluate existing spaces and identify opportunities for remodeling and improvement
Develop project scopes based on client needs and the requirements of the home
Create preliminary layouts, drawings, and design concepts as needed
Help clients select cabinetry, countertops, tile, fixtures, hardware, and other materials
Prepare project estimates, proposals, and contracts
Present design concepts and remodeling proposals to prospective clients
Communicate clearly with clients throughout the sales and design process
Maintain accurate client, project, and sales information in Buildertrend
Coordinate with the design and production teams to ensure a smooth transition once a project moves into construction
Build lasting client relationships that reflect Kircher Design & Build's commitment to service and quality
Maintain flexibility for occasional client meetings outside of traditional business hours
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Experience in sales, residential remodeling, interior design, kitchen and bath design, or a related field is preferred. Higher education or industry training is a plus. Candidates should have an aptitude for design, a willingness to learn, and the ability to guide a remodeling project through the sales and design process.
Preferred Skills
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and comfortable building relationships with homeowners. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with basic drafting skills and the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and floor plans. Applicants should be comfortable with basic math, computer programs, and learning project management software such as Buildertrend. The ability to balance creativity, client needs, budget considerations, and the sales process is important for success in this role.
Lead Carpenter
Role and Responsibilities
The primary goal of the Lead Carpenter is to deliver a great project, as sold to our clients. A Lead Carpenter has the closest relationship with our clients throughout the remodeling experience, and should instill confidence and assurance in them during the project.
Responsibilities to achieve this are as follows, but not limited to:
Good communication skills
Maintain a clean and productive job site
Manage and work well with others on and off-site
Maintain a schedule, keeping dates as rescheduled
Facilitate daily/weekly practices that will improve communications with clients
Perform all skills required for a home remodeling project
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Experience required in management of others, schedules, and customer service. Higher education and/or training preferred. Must be able to perform most tasks required in the remodeling industry (i.e. electric, plumbing, tile, painting, drywall, and carpentry – rough and finish).
Preferred Skills
To be considered for a Lead Carpenter, the applicant will need to demonstrate the ability to be self-driven, able to perform finish carpentry. Basic computer skills are required (Google Docs., Microsoft Office, etc.) Strong communication skills are a must.
Assistant Carpenter
Role and Responsibilities
The primary goal of the Assistant Carpenter is to support the role of the Lead Carpenter in delivering a great project, as sold to our clients. An Assistant Carpenter has one of the most rewarding positions within our organization. He or she has the opportunity to learn the trades hands-on while assisting the Lead Carpenters to deliver consistent results in a timely manner for each of our clients.
Responsibilities to achieve this are as follows, but not limited to:

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Experience in the remodeling trades preferred. High school education or higher. Must have an aptitude and willingness to learn.

To be considered for an Assistant Carpenter, the applicant will need to demonstrate the ability to be self-driven, able to take direction, and an aptitude for the remodeling trades. Basic computer skills are required (Google Docs, Microsoft Office, etc.). Strong communication and math skills are a must.
